    Martial Arts

    Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

    CrossFit PTC in Peachtree City is now offering Martial Arts classes.  Our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes are being taught by Pete Snider under the supervision of Roberto Traven of Unit 2 Fitness in Atlanta.  Classes in GI (traditional uniform) and No-GI (shorts – MMA style) are being taught M-W-F from 5:30-7:00.  If you have ever wanted to know how to defend yourself this is your chance.   All abilities are welcome.

    Instructor:

    Pete Snider (Brown Belt) teaches Gi, No-Gi  and MMA style fighting.  A native of Newnan Georgia, Pete is a Jiu-Jitsu specialist and a professional MMA fighter on the Unit 2 Fight Team with a record of 4-0.  Pete is known in the ring for his fast submissions and fluid style.  At CrossFit PTC Pete is a gifted instructor with an easy style that allows him to help anyone learn the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.  Pete trains under Roberto Traven and all belts will be awarded through Roberto Traven.

    Roberto Traven is a mixed martial arts fighter whose fighting style is based in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Submission Wrestling.

    Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1968, Traven began training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the age of 16. He earned his black belt in only 4 years of training. Traven was one of the early UFC competitors, fighting in UFC 11 vs. Dave Berry and in UFC 34 vs. Frank Mir.

    Traven was the 1999 Abu Dhabi open class champion and has taken first place twice in the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship. Traven is a 6th degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

    Belts:

    The object of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is to learn the art of combat.  Advancing in belts demonstrates a student’s ability and technical skill.  Students wishing to advance in belts will need to schedule testing with Pete and Roberto.

    Schedule:

    Monday & Wednesday Gi Classes: 5:30-7:00pm

    Friday No-Gi: 5:30-7:00pm

    Cost:

    Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu costs $75 per month for a Martial Arts Membership with a onetime $100 gym initiation fee.  Purchase here

    Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes are available for free for members of CrossFit PTC who are on the unlimited plan.
